Since this conversation changed languages mid-course, I will reply in English. I agree wtih Mihnea that there are absolutely no good reasons why Ciolos shouldn't get the portfolio for agriculture. In fact, there are plenty of reasons why Ciolos WILL become the EU commissioner for agriculture. I have been explaining those on my blog for the last three months, and although many in the Romanian media have shown their typical pessimism and rejected my arguments, it seems like I was right.

Hi Julien, great to see you here! To answer your question: none, really. he is seen more of a technocrat than a member of any of the political parties. He has received good reviews for his work in his time before becoming Agriculture Minister here in Romania, and left the Ministry without any sort of scandals in his wake.

So no, short of any freshly-dug up videos with him punching a kid, he's safe :)
